The hike featured in this edition of “The High Country Capers” features one we did without the Hiking Club in late June¬†– a stroll through Colorado railroad history, from the former town of¬†Hancock to the Alpine Tunnel (North Portal) and a climb over the ridge to see the South Portal and the Alpine Tunnel Station Historic Site (1880-1920)
